Governor H.E. Sakaja A Johnson has signed the Nairobi County Finance Bill, 2023/24 Financial year budget into an Act.
The governor has lauded the assembly for working hand in hand with the executive, stating that, this will ensure services will be rendered to Nairobi County residents on time with Order, Dignity, Hope and Opportunities for all.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the County Assembly for approving the budget that is aimed to be friendly one and has not increased the charges but has instead widened the revenue collection streams.” Governor said.
The annual budget will be Sh 42 Billion out of which the County Government of Nairobi is targeting to collect more in the financial year.
“I want to thank the County Assembly through their leadership represented by the Honourable Speaker – Hon. Kennedy Ng’ondi for exercising their mandate dutifully and diligently to ensure that the budget is duly approved” Governor Sakaja added
Others who witnessed the signing of the Bill into Act included Deputy Governor H.E Njoroge Muchiri ,CECM for Finance and Economic Affairs Charles Kerich,Nairobi county Attorney-Lydia Kwamboka.The Speaker – Hon. Kennedy Ng’ondi, Deputy Speaker – Hon. Paul Kados and County assembly members.
