Nairobi City County Government partners with PCEA Kahawa Farmers Church at the Church’s Business Expo

Nairobi City County Government was privileged to partner with PCEA Kahawa Farmers Church on their Expo Sunday which was held today. It was a great opportunity for networking with the congregants and the neighborhood communities who were exhibiting in today’s Expo within the church ground. We started the day with the service, there was a panel interview and the Chief Officer Security and Compliance represented the County Government. The church leadership was grateful to the engagement and support that it has been receiving from H. E Governor Sakaja since he took over the County Leadership.

After the service the Expo was officially open by the Church Minister. It was all systems go. The partnership saw the County Government get ample space to show case our various mandates.

The following sectors had exhibitions stands and they did their best to sell our services to the members of public at Roysambu, Kahawa ward. Disaster management, Health Services and Public Health, Security and compliance represented by City Inspectorate, Green Nairobi represented by Agriculture and Environment, Social services represented by Community Development, Hustler and business opportunity represented by the SMEs Department, Revenue Sector represented by Nairobi Revenue System, Land rates, Market and Stalls.
Finance and Economic Planning, Public participation and citizen engagement represented by Customer service and Public Communications.

The boroughs sector who hosted us did alot of coordination on the ground, the sub county Administrator and the ward Administrators whereas sub county Commander and team provided coverage for the event. The Governor’s office was well represented by protocol team led by madam Elizabeth.
Works and Mobility sector enabled timely logistics on fuel and transport of tents, tables, staff.

We were priveledged to have the area MCA, Chief Officer health services Mr. Tom Nyakaba and Chief Officer Security and Compliance Mr. Tonny Kimani. The day was very successful and a lesson learnt is that we can make use of available opportunity and partnerships will enable us have a paradigm shift in the way of doing business and engaging the citizenry. Let us be on the look out of such platforms especially at the devolved levels to help us take the services closer to wananchi.
