Nairobi Governor Sakaja conducted a tour of Giga Central kitchen today to check the site progress. During the tour,Governor Sakaja interacted with the site contractors, who provided him with updates of the ongoing works. Governor Sakaja was Impressed with the construction progress of the Giga Central kitchen under the “Dishi Na County”.Upon completion, the the kitchen will supply food to the surrounding schools that will provide a solution that effortlessly connects nutrition and education.
The Meals will be prepared in Giga Central Kitchen and meals will be transported in a special sealed containers and then distributed to the surrounding schools.The kitchen is expected to produce about 60,000 nutritional meals plates daily for the school children.

Makadara-Bidii Primary,Kasarani –Njiru
Primary,Westlands- Farasi Lane, Primary, Kibra-Toi Primary,Roysambu-Roysambu Primary,Starehe – Racecourse Primary, Dagoretti North-Muthangari Primary,Embakasi Central-Kayole One Primary and Ruaraka-Baba Dogo Primary.
The School Feeding Program “Dishi Na County” being one of the major concerns for the Nairobi City County administration under the leadership of Governor Sakaja since Malnutrition and ill-health factors can significantly damage the cognitive processing ability of children to learn.Children whose processing capacity is impacted by malnutrition and ill-health require more hours to learn various skills, the Nairobi City county then is focused in improving and making it sustainable for the school children.
