Governor Sakaja’s Year One score card

In the heart of Nairobi City County, a quiet revolution has been underway over the past year, under the leadership of His Excellency Hon. Sakaja Johnson and His Deputy Hon. Njoroge Muchiri. Grace Kimilu a trader and Chairlady of the Kiondo Women Group  at Mwariro Market  expresses her gratitude to Governor Sakaja for the construction of the market that has given her and her colleagues other traders a good environment to operate their businesses and restored dignity to their work.  “Thanks to the Governor’s support, I have seen new opportunities for growth in my business,” Grace said. “From streamlined licensing processes to access to resources, it’s been a game-changer.” The resilience of businesses and the untapped potential is attracting new investments, nurturing local entrepreneurship, and creating new job opportunities (insert figure if available), all of which have contributed to an improved economy.

 

Education has emerged as a cornerstone of Governor Sakaja’s administration.  Ms. Rebecca Kimondo, a trader in Ngara market and a parent to one of the  beneficiaries of school bursaries says that she is very grateful to Governor Sakaja for the bursary given to her child.  “The bursary is an answered prayer for me and it’s very reassuring to see the Governor’s commitment to our children’s future and for that I am very grateful.” she adds.

 

Healthcare accessibility has been another success story. Deputy-In-Charge of the  ICU at Mama Lucy Hospital Ms. Caroline Kanana praised Governor Sakaja’s dedication to improving healthcare services in public facilities. She says that the  ICU which is the first ever in a public hospital has become a lifeline to critical care patients as they can now access the care they need when they need it. “This facility will go a long way in saving lives as patients in underserved areas can now access quality healthcare closer to them,” Ms. Kanana remarked.

 

Governor Sakaja’s commitment to infrastructure development has garnered admiration as well.  Sydney Kusimba, a resident of Nairobi county and commuter, shared his experiences. “Our roads and public transportation have undergone significant upgrades, easing traffic congestion and improving overall connectivity,” he said.
