NAIROBI, Kenya, April 19 – Governor Johnson Sakaja of Nairobi has directed the immediate removal of barriers at the site of the former Hilton Hotel in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).

Governor Sakaja issued this directive during a recent meet-the-people tour in the city, expressing his admiration for the unwavering resilience and positivity of the city’s residents.

Previously, the entrance to the hotel was restricted by barriers on both sides, allowing only authorized individuals such as customers and visitors with valid reasons to access the premises.

Having ceased operations on December 31, 2022, after serving Kenya for 53 years, the former Hilton Hotel now faces the removal of these barriers.

Once the barriers are taken down, the general public will enjoy unhindered access to the Kencom bus terminus, where Public Service Vehicles operate various routes.
