REBRANDING TRAFFIC COMPLIANCE OFFICERS

Nairobi City County Government launched the newly re-branded reflectors for the traffic Inspectorate Department. As part of the transformation, the officers will get fresh look with the new personalized reflectors with identification numbers symbolism of new way of doing operations and new order.

The Chief Officer of Mobility Mr Bonface Nyamu has charged officers to increase their efforts towards improving the performance and ensuring the traffic laws are adhered by all without harassment.

“H.E Governor Sakaja expects a high level of performance from traffic inspectorate officers, hence the need to increase efforts towards safeguarding and decongesting the city for the county get revenues from the sector” Chief Mobility Bonface Nyamu said.

Asserting that Nairobi City County Officers needs to work effectively with PSV owners across the city and in line with best practices, the CO, Mobility said that officers will at all time wear the reflectors when on duty, just as he challenged them to always work with integrity and avoid engaging in corruption.

While noting that the county administration is geared towards boosting the efficiency of Nairobi, he expressed confidence in the performance of the Traffic Inspectorate officers enjoined them to ensure that all the job is done well to improve the department ’s rating among other departments in the City.

Speaking at the meeting Chief officer security and compliance Mr Tony M. Kimani advised the officers to maintain a high level of integrity during the operations and called for coexistence between Matatu Sector and the officer.

In his remarks, the Chief Officer Mobility and Works Mr Bonface Nyamu stated that the County plans to deal with confusion and shaky deals regarding towing of vehicles, he revealed that the county government of Nairobi is in the process of acquiring a number of new breakdowns vehicles and also urged the officers to be proud of their uniforms and prove themselves ambassadors of peace.
