Uhuru Complex Sports Arena Opened

Nairobi Governor HE Sakaja Johnson presided over the opening of Uhuru Complex Sports Arena, in Uhuru Estate, Kariobangi South/Uhuru Ward in Embakasi West Sub-County.

The sports arena as a football pitch, a basketball court, and a convertible court that can be used for netball volleyball, handball. It also has a multipurpose hall to host indoor games like chess, table tennis among other sports. The sports complex also has a boxing ring to hold boxing matches and training.

Speaking at the opening Governor Sakaja retaliated his commitment to improve and develop sports facilities in Nairobi in support of the youth to advance their talents and abilities.
“We will continue to build, develop and maintain more sports facilities in the city. We recently opened Dandora Stadium, now it’s Uhuru Complex Sports Arena and we have lined up works in Joe Kadenge Stadium, Woodley, Kihumbuini, Ziwani Githurai and Mukuru in this financial year,” Governor Sakaja said.
